Pastor Linwood R. Taylor is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Church International (ECI).  Prior to founding ECI, he served in numerous ministry capacities essential to his practical ministerial development. He also serves as President of Emmanuel Ministries International, Inc., the church’s corporation.

 

Pastor Taylor continued his theological training at the Mid-Atlantic Apostolic Bible College, and the Chesapeake Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing his doctorate at Liberty University.  He holds an A.S. Degree in Business Management from J.S. Reynolds College in Richmond, VA, a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Towson University, and a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Baltimore.  Additionally, he attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ where he majored in political science.  While living in Chattanooga, TN, he attended the University of TN at Chattanooga where he majored in business administration, with a concentration in marketing.  He has participated in mentorship programs, serving as mentor to elementary school students. 

 

Our pastor is active in his community serving as President of The Preserve at Brice Run Home Owner’s Association.  He also received a legislative citation from the Maryland State General Assembly for his community development work.  He is also the Chief Financial Officer of The Bartlette Group, a holding company consisting of a number of subsidiaries. 

 

Pastor Taylor enjoys traveling, having visited a number of countries on the continent of Africa, including Liberia, Ghana, Togo, Morocco, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.  He has also visited Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), France, Spain, England, Belgium, Mexico, Guatemala, Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Aruba, and numerous other islands of the Caribbean.  Recently he travelled to the country of Israel, where he enjoyed visiting numerous biblical sites highlighting the vast richness of our Judeo-Christian heritage.

 

He is married to the lovely Mrs. Tanya M. Taylor. Lady Taylor attended school at Hagerstown Junior College where she majored in broadcast journalism. She studied at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Washington, DC.  She has worked in the communications field as a radio DJ. She has served as a Legislative Aid in the Maryland State General Assembly. She is a published award-winning author. She is a real estate investor, serial entrepreneur, and social media marketer, with a following of over 36,000 followers.  In the words of our pastor, “she is the love of my life, my ministry and business partner.” Between the two of them they are the proud parents of five children, Valerie Lynette, Laurie Michelle, Chinard Linwood, Valerie Eve, and Maya Angela De Jesus, a son-in-law Christopher De Jesus, and two grandchildren Jayden and Julia.

 

He humbly recognizes that all glory belongs to God, as the vision is not his, but the Lords.  Hence, “The Vision Is Always Greater Than the Man”.
